Best season to do Triund Trek
Triund trek can be done any time throughout the year, except monsoon seasons of July, August, and winter seasons such as January and February. Day 1 : Dharamkot to Triund
The trek starts early in the morning, the sun in the mountains can be very harsh during the day. There is a water tank near the government primary school, and next to that there is a trail to the forest. Walk up along this trail and get to the Galu temple and enjoy tea from the nearby tea shop.
There is a trail from here that goes to Naddi village. Another trail goes from north to west to the stream. But the main trail continues straight past the small shrine. When you reach Gallu Devi temple you will see the trekking trail with the forest trek point. Your id card and backpack will be checked. it is an open grassy ridge that stretches a vast area to the south. There are a lot of places to camp here, and water is scarce. Triund offers many cafes and dhabas where you can get a cooked meal and refreshments. You can stay overnight at Forest rent house or tents at Triund.
Day 2 : Triund to Dharamkot

How to reach
By Air – make a destination arrival to Dharamshala which is well connected to international airports. from there you can reach Mcleodganj.
By bus – From Delhi, you can take an overnight bus to McLeodganj. There are private buses directly to Dharamshala, and it takes about 10 to 11 hours to reach McLeodganj. Buses from Delhi to Mcleodganj cost about Rs 600 to Rs 800 for non AC and about 1200 to 1500 for AC buses. you will get direct buses from Chandigarh ISBT to McLeodganj. The cost will be Rs. 600 to 800 and it takes 6 hours to reach McLeodganj.
By train – it is the cheapest way of transport. You need to choose the Pathankot train to reach Dharamsala.
