South Beach is probably the most famous beach area in Miami, speckled with trendy shops and bars. It might be a bit more expensive than some other parts, but it’s very much worth it.

Explore Wynwood district
What was once a boring industrial neighborhood is today known as one of the liveliest districts full of cultural events, art and trendy restaurants, artisan shops, and craft breweries. Wynwood is famous for its many outdoor galleries of graffiti and murals from top artists from all over the world.
The surrounding streets are full of converted factories and warehouses that now house craft breweries, galleries, and quirky shops. If you’re young and hip (or just feel like that), you have to visit Wynwood and go looking for its gems.

Check out the famous Everglades
Covering over 1.5 million acres of land, mostly swamps, tropical jungles, and prairies, the Everglades is the biggest wetland preserve on Earth.
People often compare the entire area with a grass river that moves lazily and looks beautiful yet hides a lot of danger. The Everglades are made up of marshes, Flatwoods, and mangroves which offer perfect housing for animals, many of which are unique and endangered like the Florida panther,
American crocodile, and West Indian manatee. When in Miami, make sure to set one day aside for an Everglades excursion. There are many different guided tours of the area, all of them super fun for the entire family.
Marvel at Coral Gables architecture
One of the richest neighborhoods in the States, Coral Gables is crisscrossed with tree-lined boulevards full of luxurious mansions. The area was designed in the 1920s and all the buildings still have to stay in the same style, over 100 years from then.
Besides taking nice photos of the houses, you can also visit the botanical garden, and the Lowe Art Museum and go for a dip in Venetian Pool.
Have fun in Little Havana
Miami is home to over 1.2 million Cuban-Americans, and the heart of their culture lies in Little Havana.
This Cuban neighborhood centers around Calle Ocho (8th Street) and the Maximo Gomez Park AKA Domino Park where locals meet to play dominos, discuss politics, and smoke some good cigars.
Make sure to pick up a cup of coffee from one of the walk-up café windows. Or grab an authentic burrito.
When in Little Havana, you can also catch independent and revival movies, and listen to live Latin music! Be daring and try salsa dancing by watching the locals.
Miami will for sure become one of your favorite places to visit. Expect to keep coming back to it until you explore every last bit.
