Proper hair care is very important to make hair strong and long. If you know the right way of hair care, then your hair can easily become long-thick-strong. Many people spend a lot of money by going to the parlour for hair care, but they do not get any benefit from it. To take proper care of your hair, first you should know what kind of care your hair needs. If you take care of your hair as per its requirement, then your hair can easily become long-thick-strong. Not everyone’s hair is the same, and different hair types have different needs. Therefore, for proper hair care, you must first know your hair type.

How to take care of oily hair

Oily hair is a bit difficult to manage. Oily hair becomes sticky very quickly, so no hairstyle is easily set on oily hair. If you have oily hair too, here is how you can take proper care of your hair:

1. Use a mild or baby shampoo to wash your hair.
2. It is important to wash such hair daily, but keep in mind that shampoo is not used too much on the scalp.
3. Always wash the hair with cold or lukewarm water. Using hot water removes more oil from the scalp, which makes the hair sticky.
4. Massage the scalp with hot hair growth oil, then wash the hair with shampoo.
5. If your hair is very oily, do not use conditioner.
6. Oily hair is shiny. Therefore, do not use hair gloss gel and shine hair care products.
7. If the hair is very oily, then wash the hair by mixing 1 part vinegar to 4 parts water, but do not use vinegar directly on the scalp.
8. Avoid brushing the hair frequently. Because it removes excess oil from the scalp.
9. Do not rub or scrape the scalp.
10. Washing hair by mixing lemon in water also removes extra oil from the hair.
11. Apart from this, a healthy diet and drinking enough water can also get rid of the problem of oily hair.
12. Do not blow dry the hair, and if necessary, use the dryer from 5-6 inches distance on low temperature.

How to take care of dry hair

Hair becomes dry due to excessive sunlight and sweat. Apart from this, coloring, curling, straightening or any chemical treatment damages the natural oil of the hair, due to which the hair becomes dry. To make dry hair healthy and shiny, take proper care of it like this:

1. If you have dry hair, avoid shampooing daily. Because it damages the natural oil of the scalp and the hair becomes more dry.
2. Use a shampoo with high protein. Mild and acidic shampoos are best for dry and lifeless hair.
3. Use conditioner every time after shampooing. This will make the hair soft and shiny.
4. Use a heat activated moisturizing conditioner or take an oil treatment once a week.
5. Avoid using hair dryer and hot iron. Dryer, curling, straightening and ironing can make hair dry and lifeless. If the use of a dryer is necessary, use it at the minimum temperature.
6. Stay away from hairspray, hair gel and other chemical-laden styling creams. It makes hair dry.
7. After washing the hair, apply coconut oil on the roots.
8. Apply a little sunflower oil to the hair for moisture.
9. Massage the hair with warm olive oil and cover it with plastic for half an hour. Then wash the hair with shampoo.
10. Wet hair breaks easily, so be careful while combing wet hair.
11. Use a coarse-toothed comb instead of a fine-toothed comb, this will make the hair easier to settle and not break.
12. Use a soft bristle hairbrush and comb to brush the hair.

How to take care of normal hair

Normal hair does not require extra care. These are easy to manage, and any style can be applied on such hair. For proper care of normal hair, keep these things in mind:

1.  Wash hair twice a week with mild shampoo and apply conditioner. Apply conditioner and do circular massage on the scalp.
2. Keep trimming the hair a little every month or two.
3. Always use cold or lukewarm water for washing hair.
4. Apply hair mask once a month.
5. Take a healthy diet for good hair health.

How to take care of curly hair

1. Do not shampoo more than 2 days in a week.
2.Apply conditioner after every hair wash to maintain the moisture of the hair.

4. Do not use a fine tooth comb. A coarse-toothed comb is best for such hair. Let the hair dry naturally.

1. Do not tie a tight braid while sleeping. Because stretching can cause hair breakage.
2. Trim the hair every 3 months to maintain the length.
3. Detangle tangled hair with fingers or a coarse-toothed comb. Do not use the brush by mistake. This can cause hair breakage.
4. Instead of rubbing wet hair with a towel, press lightly with hands.
5. Tie a silk or satin scarf while sleeping to prevent hair breakage.

Unhealthy eating habits, use of chemical-rich hair products and not cleaning properly are causing premature graying of hair these days. Follow these home remedies to prevent graying of hair:

1.Make a paste by grinding fresh gooseberry and apply it on the hair or mix dry gooseberry powder in water and massage it on the head. Due to this the hair remains black for a long time.
2. Boil tea leaves in water and filter it. Massage the hair roots with this water. Wash off after 1 hour. This creates a color coat on the hair, and they do not look white.
3. Massage the hair roots with coconut oil (including lemon), almond oil or mustard oil. This slows down the rate of whitening of hair.
4. Boil curry leaves in coconut oil. Apply it on the hair.
5. Include fish, banana, carrot etc. in the food. They provide iron and iodine to the body. Take care of your hair health and fittness.

How to take care of split hair:

1. Mix 1 tsp castor oil, olive oil and mustard oil and massage it into the hair roots for about half an hour. Then apply it all over the hair and wrap it with a hot towel.
2. Mix 1 egg white in 1 tsp almond oil. Apply on the roots and hair and wash after 1 hour.
3. Keep the avocado mask on the hair for 15 to 30 minutes and then wash it. You can also mix hot olive oil in this.
4. If avocado is not available, you can use mayonnaise instead. Apply this mask once a week.
5. To stay away from split hair, keep the hair protected from too much sun, cold and strong wind. Also, keep trimming the split hair from time to time.

Stop hair fall

Pollution and lack of nutrients lead to hair fall. Try these methods to get rid of the problem of hair fall.

1. Protect hair from dust and dirt. While sitting on the bike, cover your hair with a dupatta.
2. Apply oil from the hair thoroughly before shampooing.
3. Do not forget to comb wet hair immediately after bathing.
4. Let the hair dry naturally. Do not use hair dryer. This makes the hair dry and weak.
5. Do not accidentally wash hair with very cold or very hot water.
6. Massage the scalp with aloe vera gel or juice.
7. Mix the yellow part of the egg in honey and apply it on the scalp and shampoo after half an hour.
8. Mixing lemon juice in egg and massaging it on the head strengthens the hair roots.
9. Boil dry gooseberry in coconut oil and apply on hair. It acts as a tonic for the hair.
10. Applying lemon juice mixed with coconut oil reduces hair fall.
11. Boil rosemary leaves in mustard oil and apply it on the hair. This also reduces hair fall.
12. Extract the juice by grinding green coriander leaves and massage it on the head.
13. Boil neem leaves in water for 1 hour and let it cool. Wash the hair with this water. If desired, mix neem oil in coconut oil and apply it on the head.

How to get rid of dandruff

Due to stress, lack of balanced diet and changing weather, the problem of dandruff has become common. Try these tips to get rid of it:
1. Use anti dandruff shampoo to wash hair.
2. Massage the hair with pure coconut oil.
3. Heat a small onion in coconut oil and massage the hair with it.
4. Mix olive oil, lemon juice and coconut oil and warm it slightly and apply it on the roots of the hair with the tips of the fingers.
5. Make a paste of fenugreek and mustard seeds and apply it on the hair.
6. Put camphor in the oil and heat the oil. Massage it into the roots of the hair for 10 minutes. Wash hair after half an hour.
7. Mix two parts coconut oil in one part lemon juice. Massage it into the roots of the hair. Similarly, mix 1 tsp castor, mustard and coconut oil and massage it into the roots of the hair. Wash hair after 3-4 hours.
8. Heat wheat germ oil and massage it into the roots of the hair and keep it wrapped with a towel for half an hour. Then shampoo.
9. Apply the mixture of curd and lemon on the scalp and wash after 1 hour. Doing this every other day will eliminate dandruff in 2 weeks.
10. Hair massage with aloe vera oil half an hour before washing hair is also helpful in eliminating dandruff.
11. Soak 1 tsp fenugreek seeds in water overnight. Make a paste of it in the morning and apply it on the roots of the hair and wash it after half an hour.
12. Boil 100 grams of amla, reetha and shikakai in 2 liters of water. When the water reduces to half, take it off the flame and let it cool. Wash hair twice a week with this shampoo, dandruff will go away.
13. 2 tablets of aspirin in any anti dandruff shampoo
